+ WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED AND WHEN DO YOU MEET?
Summit Church meets at 10am at the Newnan Centre at: 1515 Lower Fayetteville Road/ Newnan, GA/ 30265. Our services last about 75 minutes.
+ WHAT ARE YOUR WEEKEND SERVICES LIKE?
Each weekend at Summit Church you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music, and a practical, relevant message. Children are also well-cared for in loving, quality nursery and kids environments that extend through 5th grade.
+ WHAT DOES IT MEAN THAT YOU'RE A HIGHLANDS NETWORK CHURCH?
We're honored to serve as the very only Highlands Network Church, meaning that although we function as our own separate entity, we've adopted Church of the Highlands' model of ministry and usually use a live video feed of Pastor Chris Hodges in Birmingham for our Sunday morning experience. Otherwise, our pastor here will sometimes bring the morning message.
+ WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I VISIT FOR THE FIRST TIME?
If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for a while—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere with a complimentary cup of coffee, and see if this is the church for you!
+ WHAT DO I WEAR TO ATTEND YOUR SERVICES?
You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Weekend Services. Come in what is comfortable for you, because Summit is not about what you look like or what you wear.
+ DO YOU HAVE MIDWEEK SERVICES OR SUNDAY SCHOOL?
Our "First Wednesday" services are held once a month at the Newnan Train Depot on the first Wednesday of every month. These special experiences feature acoustic worship, corporate communion, and guest speakers streamed in from Church of the Highlands. Otherwise, our regular midweek focus is on in-home Small Groups. Our vision is to see people moving from where they are to where God has always intended they be, and we believe that this growth best takes place within the context of godly relationships, thus our Value of "Community" and focus on Small Groups.
+ WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?
At Summit Church your children are a top priority. Our nursery and kids environments are clean, safe, fun, and staffed with loving workers. They are presently offered for babies and kids through 5th grade. You are also welcome to have your children join you in the main service, as we believe it to be a powerful thing for families to worship together!
+ HOW ABOUT STUDENTS?
We believe that the most effective way to lead students into a growing relationship with Christ is to go ahead now and plug them into the life of our church within our Small Groups and Dream Team! Our Middle School groups serve our 6-8th graders while our High School groups serve 9-12th graders, and they both meet weekly in host homes and locations throughout town. And then, on the 2nd Wednesday of every month, both age groups travel together to join thousands of students at Motion Night hosted at Church of the Highlands' Auburn Campus! We're so excited to see God moving in this generation in such a powerful way!
+ HOW CAN I GROW AT SUMMIT?
Our desire is to see you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. Our Growth Track offers the tools necessary to jump-start this process in your life. From the initial decision to accept Jesus as your Lord to your involvement in life-changing ministry, we will lead you step-by-step from healing to growth and into leadership. Begin the process at our next "Step ONE" Class.
+ HOW CAN I MEET OTHERS AND GET CONNECTED?
There are many ways to get involved at Summit. In addition to the aforementioned Growth Track, our Small Groups are a great way to connect. In each of these, you can build friendships, deepen your faith, and learn more about the life of our church.
+ WHAT ABOUT BAPTISM?
Baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. Being submerged under water signifies an identification with the death and burial of Jesus, and being raised out of the water identifies with His resurrection. We offer Sunday baptisms periodically on-site, immediately following a morning worship service.
+ WHY DO YOU HAVE SMALL GROUPS?
Small Groups are an important part of Summit Church; in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced these "Summit Groups". Groups allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God. As Summit Church grows, groups allow us to “stay small” and connected. Groups are available for all ages and interests—there’s bound to be one that’s just right for you!
+ HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED IN A SMALL GROUP?
One of the easiest things to do at Summit Church is to participate in a Small Group. Groups meet throughout the area and provide a place for relationship and support. Wherever you live, there’s a small group near you. Check out our online directory and visit a group this week.
